Briscoes Homeware is part of the Briscoe Group of companies, which includes Rebel Sport & Living & Giving. The brand was founded in 1781 in the UK and has been trading in New Zealand for over 150 years. Known for its iconic sales and quality branded homeware the business operates through 46 retail outlets and via an online store. (Briscoe Group, 2021a; Briscoes Homeware, 2021a)

Strong New Zealand Brand

The ‘Briscoes Lady’ is well known among Kiwi’s and when surveyed 71% of customers responded with Briscoes as first choice in homeware brands. Briscoes have a comprehensive range, from manchester to kitchen appliances through to outdoor furniture and camping equipment. Thousands of items for Kiwi's to fit out their homes. (Briscoe Group, 2021b)


Briscoes Homeware Social Media

Social media accounts appear on Facebook, operating since August 2013, with approximately 134K followers and Instagram, since June 2018, with 17k followers. Both these accounts have 'shops' available for consumers to purchase goods.

Briscoes Homeware also hold a YouTube account with 1.23K subscribers. With 12 videos, mainly focused on a Christmas theme. (Facebook, 2021; Instagram, 2021; YouTube, 2021)

Going digital to connect with customers

The business is delving into digital trends, such as Augmented Reality, which was used to promote an outdoor furniture range in 2020. They are open to trialling new technologies to keep their potential customers engaged and to improve their customer experience. 

During 2020 the Briscoes Homeware group invested in getting to know their customer and their shopping habits better, through a research project focused on mapping the customer journey and customer segmentation.
